As far as we know, the usage of shoes starts a way back from now, that is from, around 7000 to 8000 BC. The practice of wearing shoes started in the city of Oregon which in the United States of America. This custom of wearing shoes started in the year 1938. The materials that are used for making shoes vary very much from those days to the present day. Initially only mens shoes were made as they did odd jobs, which required the usage of shoes. Women were not used to the practice of wearing shoes as they did not do any odd jobs. But the situation has very much changed today.

Today womens shoes are also manufactured in all the parts over the globe. Those days’ shoes were made of any materials that were very much resistant to heat and odd temperatures. But now shoes are being made of varieties of materials that vary from a simple synthetic cloth to plastics, rubber and all other industrial adhesives. To attract the kids, shoes are being made to suit their likes and dislikes. Even cartoon characters are being printed on the shoes to capture the attention of the kids.
